I have been told in the last few years to start owning my life! Own it! people would say. ‘Aha’, I would say not really truly comprehending what that exactly means! We hear it constantly in society, in books, in videos and podcasts even songs, to own your life!
I have thought alot about what these words mean and really have tried to figure out how I can own it. But it was not until my conference this past weekend that I truly had an aha moment and understood how powerful these words can be.This is the first time in 5 years that I was unable to be at the Arbonne conference in Vegas. Thank goodness for modern technology as they have the entire conference available virtually and I am so thankful for that.
The theme of the conference was owning it. After listening to all the incredible speakers especially Rachel Hollis, I now get it!
- Owning it means being true to myself despite what anyone else thinks about me and about my choice of business.
- Owning it means to stop comparing myself to others as it certainly does not pump me up but brings me down. We compare ourselves in areas of our lives where we feel most insecure, so that is going to stop!
- Owning it is realising that “someone else’s opinion is none of my business.” People will always have an opinion and it is up to me whether or not I choose to accept it.
- Owning it means to not let me feel smaller in order to make other people feel bigger!
- Owning it is showing up, working hard, knowing where I am going .
- Owning it means to believe! Believe in myself. If I do not believe in myself how can I expect others to believe in me!
- Owning it means minding my mind, talk to myself as I would talk to others.
- Owning it means living apologetically!
I have never been more excited to build my business, share my book and be who I am and not apologise for doing so.
I am now owning my life!
