I am excited to introduce Alexa Nazzaro! Alexa helped me self publish my children’s book, Three Times the Fun. A mutual friend introduced us and I was so fortunate to have worked with Alexa. She is super talented, patient ,hard working and a mother of four children. It was a wonderful experience publishing my first book working with Alexa. I know you will enjoy learning all about Alexa and if you are looking to publish or self publish a book, Alexa is the one to contact. You can reach Alexa at http://www.aaxeulauthorservices.com/
Thanks Alexa for sharing your story with us!
1) How many children do you have, name and ages?
I have two stepchildren as well as two of my children. My stepchildren, Justin and Ariane, are 21 and 15 respectively. My biological children are Idris, who is 6, and Saskia, who is 3.
2) What is your current occupation?
I run an author services business, helping authors (like Michaela!) publish their books.
3) What are the challenges balancing work and parenting?
As I run my own business, work doesn’t always end at five o’clock. Sometimes I have things running through my mind regardless of whether I am at the computer, and I have had to work hard to push those away so I can just enjoy moments with my children.
4) What is your life philosophy?
Enjoy!
(simple yet so important especially now with the current global crisis! We often get so caught up in life we forget to enjoy!)
5) What is one piece of advice you would give other mothers and what is one thing you wish you would have known before having children?
A life-saver for me was when I truly understood that nothing lasts forever. Any challenging phase you are going through at the moment will pass.
6) What is your greatest achievement apart from your children so far?
I think having created a life for myself in which I enjoy what I do and I have such freedom to pursue my interests and spend time with my family.
7) What have you done that you thought you could never do?
Have children and start a business!
8) What books do you/did you like reading to your children?
We read so many books together, and I like to keep it balanced so that we do not have too many of one genre or another. I cannot say we have an allegiance to particular authors. My focus now is to expose them to as many stories and ideas as possible, though we do have a special place in our hearts for Sandra Boynton. I know almost all of those by heart! I often read Three Times the Fun, and I explain to my children the process of doing the artwork and putting together the book, which is a perspective I enjoy sharing with them and that they enjoy listening to. Oh, and they love looking at the pictures of Michaela’s family at the end!
So happy your kids love my book! It was a wonderful experience to do this with you. You can check out my book on Amazon!
