Thanks Sheetal for sharing your journey with us!
How many children do you have , name and age?
I have one toddler, he will be 2yrs old on the 26th. His name is Siddharth Kakkar.
2. What is your current occupation?
I am a home maker at the moment and will rejoin the workforce in a few months.
3. What are the challenges of balancing work and parenting?
If your spouse and your family are supporting you, then it becomes easy to manage both work and home. Our main challenge is to get “me time” for ourself. If we mums are relaxed and getting enough rest, then time is easy.
4. What is your life philosophy?
My life philosophy is stay happy, ignore negativity and enjoy the moment. No one is perfect, so don’t set high expectations.
( I love this, staying positive is so important and not getting caught up in the negativity around us, especially now)
5. What advice would you give other mothers and what is one thing you wish you had know before having children?
The advice I would like to share is that, mum you are doing perfect. You know your child better, believe in your mother instinct and don’t listen to others much.
I wish I would have known how to take better care of myself in the early days after baby delivery.
6. What is your greatest achievement apart from your child?
My greatest achievement is being best friend to my mum.
7. What have you done that you thought you could never do?
After completing my Masters in electronics, I did a Diploma in early education and child care. I never thought I would change my field.
(Wow, good for you, I admire you for that!)
8. What books do you like reading to your child?
These days I am reading rhymes book and “The boat ride”.
I love that you read rhyme books to Siddharth. I hope that you will add my book Three Times the Fun to your library to enjoy.
Would love to hear your story
