Our feature mother this week is the lovely Christine Viladrosa from Atlanta, Georgia. Christine is a very very busy working mother of 5 including a set of triplets! Christine has really learnt the power of making each moment count and to live in the present. She uses this philosophy so she can spend quality time with her family while working a full time job. You can follow Christine and her beautiful family on IG @the_taala_triplets
Thanks Christine for sharing your story with us!
How many children do you have , ages?
I have 5 children, all girls ages 13, 2.5 and 13 month old triplets.
2.What is your current occupation?
Case manager for Insurance Company.
3. What are the challenges of balancing work and parenting?
I’m thankful to be able to work from home, however, with all the kids home it is difficult to separate work and home. The kids stay with daddy all day but they like to be with mommy. My goal is to take two 15 minute breaks a day allowing me to spend time with the kids and then spend each lunch with the girls. Weekends are dedicated to family time and activities as a family.
4. What is your life philosophy?
Try everything once, take a chance , never know where it may lead you.
(I absolutely love this and have taken quite a few chances I am happy I took)
5. What is a piece of advice you would give to other mothers and what is one thing you wish you had known before having children?
I would suggest try and live in the moment, we want to document everything out kids do but make a point to be in the moment, those are the memories you can share with your kids down the road and what they will cherish more than a photo.
One thing I wish I knew before becoming a mom is there is no perfect mom or child, try and refrain from comparing children or parenting skills, you and your child will find your way.
(excellent advice!)
6. What is your greatest achievement apart from you children?
Greatest achievement has been to educate myself. Obtaining a occupational degree while parenting 5 kids is extremely hard but worthwhile.
(Hats off to you, amazing ,and inspirational!)
7. what have you done that you thought you could never do?
I have triplets, never thought me and my husband could do it alone with all 5 kids, but we have slowly established routines, schedules and created ways to parent our kids with minimal help.
8. What books do you like reading to your children?
Currently the girls favourite book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see? They can have me read that book over and over.
I hope that you will add my book Three Times the Fun to the girls reading collection .
Would love to hear your story
